Arts audio/video Technology and communications
so in class we decided to study about Arts audio/video technology and communications and i think that this is my favorite one out of all of them since it has alot of art related jobs and im a art nut so this is perfect but for some unknown reason i decided to choose a directors- stage, motion pictures, television and radio but i am happy about my second career or job that i choose a multimedia artists and animators. this person creates special effects animation or other visual images using flim video computers or other electronic tools and media for use in produts or creations such as computer games movies music videos and commercials. but the other career which is a director, they interpret script conduct rehearsals and direct activities of cast and technical crew for stage motion pictures television or radio programes. i would rather do the other career but i suck with computers so im gonna keep looking :)

True Colors
So today in class we are study about a program called True Colors. and we are taking the four colors (blue, gold, green, and yellow) and they stand for personalities so we have to take those colors and match them with friends and teachers so i would think that my teacher Mr. Dundaus is a gold because he is always up beat grabbing the topic and making it stick not letting it go till its good and understood and is always right on the ball, Mrs. Hewitt is a green she is always very thourgh and very clear on the topic and makes sure the facts are right, i think that Mr. Boyers is a yellow he is very organized and makes sure we are in the right place and never is messy he is always up to date on grades and is a great teacher, Mrs. Hession is a blue she is a great teacher she always puts others before herself and cares about their feelings. for the friend part, my friend Jamey is a blue he always thinks of others and has a smile on his face all the time, Erica is a gold she takes life by the hair and makes sure she is in control she loves life and is always doing crazy things, Sammie is a green she is very smart and gets her facts strait before anything i love her :), Alicia is a yellow she is very organized and never likes a messy anything i know she is a yellow through and through. so thats what i think about my teachers and friends when it comes to True Colors

visually learning
My teacher had us take a learning styles test and i got visual styles out of it all and i understand how im more a visual learner than any of the other styles because i think theat it can help me understand my subjects alot more i love that im more a visual and not tactical. i learn alot more when i see how its done. im not very good at learning through auditory as in talking about it i like listening more than anything even if i do like to get my two sense in. i think that if i learn more visually now than auditory and tactically i think i will get better grades. so im happy i now know that im a visual learner.

Architecture and Construction
in this cluster i decided to look up and learn about Hazardous Materials Removal Workers and Solar Photovoltaic Installers. A hazardous materials removal workers they take waste like asbestos and lead-based materials and pack and ship them and technically get rid of them in a safe way. A solar photovaltaic installer is someone who gets ontop of roofs and other structures and installs solar panals. i dont see myself doing either of these careers but i chose them because they sounded cool.

So remember when i told you guys about biofuels and biodesiel, and i told you that i would look up the meaning of those big words well i did and here they are...etherification is the process of making an ether, especially the removal of alcohols from petroleum products by reacting with sulfuric acid ,esterification is any reaction that results in the production of an ester Aldrichimica Acta Volume from Sigma-Aldrich, interesterification is The reaction of an ester with an alcohol in order to obtain a different ester. transesterification is The reaction of an ester with an alcohol in order to replace the alkoxy group; it is used in the synthesis of polyesters and in the production of biodiesel, distillation is The separation of the volatile parts of a substance from the more fixed; specifically, the operation of driving off gas or vapor from volatile liquids or solids, by heat in a retort or still, and the condensation of the products as far as possible by a cool receiver, alembic, or condenser; rectification; vaporization; condensation; as, the distillation of illuminating gas and coal, of alcohol from sour mash, or of boric acid in steam, hydrogenation is the chemical reaction of hydrogen with another substance, especially with an unsaturated organic compound, and usually under the influence of temperature, pressure and catalysts, oxidation is A reaction in which the atoms of an element lose electrons and the oxidation state of the element increases. so there you have it
Embalmer and Plebotomist
I decided to do some weird careers for this cluster. An Embalmer is sort of like a corinor and a mortician, they dress and clean the deseased bodies and get them ready for the funeral. A Phlebotomist is who takes your blood at the hospital they send the blood for testing and they also take blood for a transfusion (giving the blood to someone else)they both are very gross jobs but im happy someone has the stomache for it. :)

Bio+Medical
Bio+medical what do you get.......biomedical. i chose biomedical engineer for my second career cluster in science technology engineering and technology.its a very strang but very important career. they design biological or health systems like they technicaly make artifical organs and prostetics. they research material to be used for the organs and fake limbs. they actually give disabled people a chance to walk and hold things and be almost like a normal person(not that they arent.......they are....its just a saying) i think that these people are life savers and if you think about it they actually are. :)
STEM PUZZLEZ
Why do you think STEM is the only academy that shares a name with one of the 16 Career Clusters.....this is the question my teacher gave me and i cant seem to put a finger on it...i would just be a smart-elek and say that that was what they chose no need for a explanation but that would be wrong and i would get an F so what i say is that instead of taking a bunch of clusters and taking the time to do two careers each which would take forever they decieded to take all the clusters and put them into one big cluster. The next one was....Why do you suppose STEM is the one Career Cluster that matches exactly with one of PCHS's Academies...i cant repeat my first answer so i will say this.... its better to have on big cluster than abuch of tiny little clusters that will take too much class time.

Biofuels and Biodiesel
So today we are on our STEM cluster ( Science Technology Engineering Mathmatics) and for my first career i chose Biofuel/biodiesel technology and product development managers. i couldnt put much since someone else in my class had already done a career in another cluster simaler to that but i made it work....what i did learn is that they define plan or execute biofuels/biodiesel research programs that evaluate alternative feedstock and process technologies with nearterm commercial potenial, its pretty cool actually. I read more on and found out that they design chemical conversion proceses such as etherification esterfication intersterification transesterification distillation hydrogenation oxidation or recdution of fats and oils and vegetable oil refining....big words i dont understand( I'll look them up later :P)but it seems pretty cool......:)

Connections
I have been studying career clusters and i believe that all these careers will help me decide what i want to do with my life when i graduate. I need to make a connection between two careers and see how they relate to one another and i relized that a sociolgist and a social worker alike in a way. I was looking at the two careers and i noticed that both careers involove social groups and how they react to one another, social workers help groups of people get along and sociologist study and analyze body movment posture and reaction to the littlest of things other poeple do. They both require the same degrees ( Masters and Bachelors degree ) and they involve interacting with others.sociologist and social workers both have the same meaning and word in the name(social). so in conclusion Social workers and Sociologists are alike in some maybe alot of ways

Sociologists and Epidemiologists
For my careers in Health Science i chose to study Sociology and Epidemiology. A Sociologist mostly studies and watches people teens and children and see how they act and react to day-to-day things. Since your health revolves around your mental/emotional, physical, and social health its important to know how people react. Sociologists studies these reactions and then figures out were that reaction and behavior originated. As of Epidemiologists, they study and test different diseases ,disabilities, or health outcomes. For this they see what diseases and disabilities are permanant, fatal, or temporary. I do think these careers are important but i dont believe i would do either of them in the future, good thing im just doing the paper for a grade. :) ;P
